Rules for Contest Submissions

You may enter as many dogs as you know who are eligible in the various categories.

Please limit the words in your story about the dog and why he or she deserves to be included in Dog Champions. We want to know details and hear your praise, but please try to tell your story in 500 words or less (4 or 5 paragraphs).

Be sure to include the name and age of the dog. Dogs who are deceased are also eligible to be Dog Champions, as long as they fit into one of the categories.

Stories that contain bad language or vile content will not be published and the dog will not be eligible to win.

You may include up to 4 photos with your story. Photos always make a story more compelling and interesting, so if you have photos of the dog in action, please send them as attachments with your emailed entry. Photos must be family friendly and in keeping with the spirit of the Dog Champions web site.

DO NOT put your photos in a zip file. Zip files will not be opened. Also, the photos must be .jpeg or .gif format. (If you use AOL, they tend to put photos in zip files if you send more than one. In this case, send each photo in a separate email.)

Put the category of your entry in the subject line and send via email to:
contest_1@dogchampions.com

We will accept entries for the current contest from June 8 through July 13, 2008. Voting will begin on July 15 and close on July 31, 2008. The first round of winners will be published on this site August 4, 2008.

Winners in each category will receive a Dog Champions bandana. The overall winner will also receive a Dog Champions Tshirt for the person who belongs to the dog.

We reserve the right to refuse to post any story or photo to this web site that is not family friendly or that is not in keeping with the spirit of the intended purpose, in our sole opinion.

We look forward to getting your Dog Champions stories!!
